Abstract

This study aims to reveal the variance of emotional reassurance
and parental love depending on the variance of demographic
variables: (Sex, and grade level), and to know the extent to
which the parental love contributes to predicting emotional
reassurance. The study sample includes (720) male and female
secondary school students in the State of Kuwait. Two
measurements were applied to them, namely: the emotional
reassurance measurement and the parental love one (prepared
by researchers). The study results have showed that there are no
statistically significant differences between the sex variable
(Male/Female) and the school grade with regard to emotional
reassurance as a whole. The results have also showed that there
are statistically significant differences between the sex variable
(Male/Female) in parental love towards females, and that there
are statistically significant differences between the twelfth grade
and the eleventh/tenth ones towards the twelfth one. They are
also indicated that there is a significant correlation between
parental love and emotional reassurance, and that emotional
reassurance can be predicted through parental love among male
and female secondary school students in Kuwait
