Voice perception and its relationship to social skills among primary school students with learning difficulties

Abstract

This Research aimed to identify the correlational relationship between voice perception and social skills among students with reading learning difficulties in elementary stage, and detect differences between them in these variables by differ in gender. Sample of study consisted of (200) students from third year elementary stage whose with reading learning difficulties, (95 males, 105 females). Researcher used scales of voice perception Prepared by Researcher, social skills for students with learning difficulties Prepared by Rehab Badr (2014), Stanford Benet for IQ (V.5) translated into Arabic Safwat Farag (1998), Test of diagnose of reading difficulties Prepared by Ahmed Ahmed Awad (2011), Questionnaire of social cultural status Prepared by Adel Abdel-Allah Sharab (2011). Research results The results of the research found that there is a positive and significant correlation at the level (0.01) between vocal perception and some social skills (social interaction within the classroom, social interaction within the family, social interaction within the school, following school laws and regulations, affirmative behavior skills, cooperative learning skills) People with learning difficulties to read, and there were significant differences at the level (0.01) in favor of females in vocal perception and social skills.
