Abstract

The aim of the current research is to reveal the impact of using visual cues with two densities(high and low)in interactive infographics in an e-learning environment via the web on developing digital fluency and the skills of producing educational web pages among middle school students. To achieve this goal, the researchers designed and developed a web-based e-learning environment based on the use of interactive infographics with two tip densities (high and low), in light of the design criteria, and according to Khamis (2007) ISD Model for educational design and development. The researchers prepared the research tools represented in the digital fluency skills measurement card and the product quality assessment card. The researchers used the experimental design based on the experimental groups, and they applied the treatments and tools to a sample of (72) students, They were divided into two experimental groups. The researchers applied the appropriate statistical methods using the (SPSS V22) package.
The results of the research resulted in the effectiveness of the e-learning environment in the digital fluency skills, and the quality of the production of educational web pages among the students, and the results of the research with regard to the main effect of the density of the Cues indicated that there were no differences in the sum of the arithmetic averages between the students who studied Cues density (high), students who studied Cues density (low) in digital fluency skills, as well as no differences between them in the quality of the production of educational web pages.
