This study aimed to examine the relationship between initiating joint attention and expressive language among autistic children . Gender differences in this regard were also investigated . The study Sample consisted of (40) autistic children ( 20 males – 20 females ) between ( 3 : 5 ) years, As they were chosen from the " Rabaa Al-Adawiya " Hospital in Nasr City . The study tools included : Initiating Joint Attention Scale (Prepared by : the researcher ) - Expressive language Scale (Prepared by : the researcher) - Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS) Prepared by : ( Scopler , et al., 1999 ) , Arabization : ( Hoda Amin, 2004 ) . Results indicated that there was statistically significant positive correlation between of Initiating joint attention and expressive language . Additionally , there were no significant differences between males & females in Initiating joint attention and expressive language .
