The role of integrated educational supervision in developing the professional performance of general education teachers - the Asir region as a model –

Abstract

The research aimed to propose procedures to develop the professional performance of teachers in general education schools in the Asir region in light of integrated educational supervision. The research adopted the descriptive survey method and the questionnaire study tool, which was applied to (210) principals of general education schools in the Asir region. That is, a percentage of (47)% of the original population. Among the results of the study were: the presence of statistically significant differences between the averages of the responses of the two study groups (bachelor’s qualification - postgraduate qualification) on the first axis, the reality of educational supervision in general, in favor of a bachelor’s degree, and the absence of statistically significant differences between the averages. Responses of the two study groups (bachelor’s degree - postgraduate qualification) regarding the second axis: requirements for educational supervision. This result indicates that the study sample agreed on the requirements for implementing educational supervision, that there were no statistically significant differences between the averages of the responses of the two study groups (baccalaureate qualification - postgraduate qualification) on the third axis: obstacles to educational supervision, and that there were no statistically significant differences between the averages of the responses of the study groups ( Less than 3 training courses - 3-6 courses - More than 6 training courses) on the first axis: The reality of educational supervision in general and the first and third dimensions.
