Designing educational activities according to the digital project-based learning strategy via Blackboard and its impact on developing twenty-first century skills among female students at King Abdulaziz University

Abstract

The aim of this research is to design educational activities based on the strategy of digital project-based learning via Blackboard to develop twenty-first century skills, and to measure the impact of these activities on developing twenty-first century skills, represented in (digital age skills, effective communication skills, high productivity skills) among students. Female students of the Bachelor of Early Childhood at King Abdulaziz University, and the extent of their satisfaction with the experience. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher used the descriptive approach and the quasi-experimental approach. The sample included the experimental group with (30) female students and the control group with (25) female students. After applying the experiment, the results were reached. A number of results, the most important of which are that there are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05 = a≤) between the average scores of the experimental group and the control group in favor of the experimental group post-test. The results of the effect size (²η) also showed that employing educational activities according to the strategy of learning based on Digital projects have a significant impact on developing twenty-first century skills, and in light of the results, a number of recommendations were presented, including: including the employment of educational activities according to the digital project-based learning strategy within the topics of various course descriptions at the university level, and holding more courses and training programs for everyone.
